:: Happy Easter!

Just to forewarn you, this is a post with LOTS of pictures of our Easter weekend. :)

Saturday we went to church for an Easter egg hunt with the kids. It was tons of fun and the kids enjoyed crafts, face painting, bouncy houses, an egg hunt, and of course a message about the true meaning of Easter.

:: Spring is in the Air!

Not only is it a gorgeous sunny day here, but signs of spring are popping up everywhere...and one of the places is the small evergreen tree in front of our house. For about a week now I've been noticing some small birds hanging out in and around the tree, dodging in and out of it's thick branches.  On a whim this morning I thought I'd see if there was a nest in there and look what I found...

I had a good time taking pictures of the kids last night. I have a new portrait lens that ideally will allow me to rely less on photoshop for covering my inadequacies as a amateur photographer. I'm quickly learning the key to a good photograph is equipment...besides the obvious ability to capture great moments!

:: Confession time...and Dayspring product review!

Confession #1:  I rented "Tangled" for the kids from a Red Box this past week. Not a bad thing in of itself, they earned it.  But I think I liked it more than the kids did.  A lot more.  So I bought the dvd "for the kids".  Who knew Mandy Moore would make a pretty decent Disney princess?  And who knew "Chuck's" Zachary Levi could sing...and well at that?!  It's been playing non-stop...with and without kids in the room. Aaah, the highlights of being a stay-at-home mom! ;)
